Alkaline Water: Great for You, Great for Your Family
One of the biggest benefits of Alkaline water lies in its name. Alkaline water has a higher pH than that of tap AND bottled water. pH is the scale used to determine whether a solution is acidic or alkaline. Human blood has a pH of 7.4, making it slightly alkaline. This means our bodies are intended to be more alkaline than acidic.
Most foods that are considered detrimental to our health and are suggested to be eaten in small amounts are acidic in nature. These include red meats, eggs, bread and pastas. Below is a reference of the pH of many popular food items. As the famous saying goes; "you are what you eat", many of us have an acidic diet resulting in our bodies becoming acidic.
